Directions:
- From San Francisco — Drive East on I-80 from the San Fransico Bay Area and take Exit 71/UC Davis onto Old Davis Road to the campus. Turn left onto La Rue Rd at the first traffic circle, which is just after the Visitor Information Kiosk and before a large parking structure and the Mondavi Center. Go over a creek and take the first left onto LaRue Road. Take the first right into Visitor Parking Lot 46. You will see the Academic Surge Building at the far side of the lot.
- From Sacramento — Drive West on I-80 from Sacramento and take Exit 71/UC Davis onto Old Davis Road to the campus. Turn left onto La Rue Rd at the first traffic circle, which is just after the Visitor Information Kiosk and just before a large parking structure and the Mondavi Center. Go over a creek and take the first left onto La Rue Road. Take the first right into Visitor Parking Lot 46. You will see the Academic Surge Building at the far side of the lot.
- From Oregon and the Sacramento Airport — Drive south on I-5. At Woodland, CA, take CA-113 South towards Davis. Take the Hutchison Drive exit toward UC Davis and turn left on Hutchison Drive. Turn right on La Rue Road. Continue on LaRue around a left bend. The Academic Surge Building will be on your left just before a Stop sign. Turn left into Visitor Parking Lot 46. You will see the Academic Surge Building at the far side of the lot.
- From Los Angeles — Drive north on I-5. As you enter Sacramento, take the I-80 Business West / US-50 exit towards San Francisco. Merge onto Capital City Freeway / US-50 West towards San Franciso, then continue on I-80 West. Take Exit 71/UC Davis onto Old Davis Road to the campus. Turn left onto La Rue Rd at the first traffic circle, which is just after the Visitor Information Kiosk and just before a large parking structure and the Mondavi Center. Go over a creek and take the first left onto LaRue Road. Take the first right into Visitor Parking Lot 46. You will see the Academic Surge Building at the far side of the lot.
Parking
Parking Lot 46 requires special permit. E-plate vehicles do not need a permit. General parking is available in Parking Lot 47 (west of Meyer Hall). Permits for Parking Lot 47 cost $10.00 per day. Permit dispensers accept quarters, one-dollar bills, five-dollar bills or Visa and MasterCard. Parking is free on weekends and observed holidays, except when special event parking is enforced.
Advanced Transportation Infrastructure Research Center (ATIRC)
The ATIRC site is 2.5 miles west of UCD central campus, west of the UCD airport.

- From I-80 take 113 North
- Take Hutchison off-ramp
- Turn left onto Hutchison
- Drive to traffic circle, take first right
- Drive to the 2nd traffic circle, turn left to stay on Hutchison
- Drive 1 mile, turn left onto Hopkins Rd
- Drive 0.4 miles, turn right onto Apiary Drive (3rd right) Drive 0.1 miles, turn right
- Enter ATIRC through second gate on left
